Larvotto Resources Strikes Exceptional 31m at 65.8 g/t Gold at Hillgrove

Key Take Away: Larvotto Resources Limited (ASX: LRV) has announced impressive high-grade gold results from its diamond drilling program at Bakers Creek within the recently acquired Hillgrove gold and antimony mine in New South Wales. The standout intercept of 31m at 65.8 g/t Au, including 5.3m at 220 g/t Au and 4.75m at 161 g/t Au, highlights the potential for extending known mineralisation at depth while maintaining excellent grades.

The 2,036m diamond drilling program, conducted between January and March 2024, targeted the lower level of gold mineralisation at Bakers Creek. The results not only confirmed significant mineralisation within the Little Reef lode but also within an associated shear zone. Drill hole BKC015 intercepted a heavily mineralised zone with visible gold, returning the exceptional result of 31m at 65.8 g/t Au from 244m.

Larvotto Resources’ Managing Director, Ron Heeks, commented, “The drilling program at Bakers Creek yielded exceptional high-grade intercepts, returning significant high-grade results. This work highlights the wealth of mineralised structures within the Hillgrove field. Bakers Creek has historically produced over 300,000 ounces of high-grade gold . From our interpretation of these mined areas, we concluded there should be further extension to the ore shoots.

“The standout result of 31m at 65.8 g/t Au has clearly demonstrated that the mineralisation does extend to depth while maintaining excellent grades. We believe that other adjacent mineralised zones will also extend to depth in a similar way, and we look forward to testing these with upcoming drill programs, providing confidence that we can add further resources at Hillgrove from deeper zones. These stunning results also provide the Company with positive momentum as we near completion of the metallurgical study and the release of our initial Ore Reserve Estimate for the Hillgrove Project.”

The company’s next steps involve further drilling to bring the Bakers Creek reef into resource calculations, adding to the mineral field’s potential. Larvotto Resources also plans to interrogate historical drilling data to better understand the structural relationships of the mineralisation within the shear corridor. The proven results give confidence for adding further resources at depth by extending the footprint of the Metz Mining Centre below current levels.

Gold, a precious metal, has long been valued for its beauty, rarity, and durability. It is widely used in jewelry, electronics, and as a store of value. The demand for gold is expected to remain strong, driven by its status as a safe-haven asset during times of economic and gepolitical uncertainty, alongside its increasing use in technology. Larvotto Resources, with its high-grade gold discoveries at the Hillgrove project, is well-positioned to potentially capitalize on the metals growing appeal.

The exceptional high-grade gold results from Larvotto Resources’ drilling program at Bakers Creek underscore the growing potential of the Hillgrove project. These results not only confirm the extension of known mineralisation at depth but also highlight the possibility of discovering additional high-grade ore shoots within the project area.
